Our Story
We’re an American-Taiwanese family of 7, and in 2025, we started sharing home-baked bread with family and friends.
We want to eat food with real (and pronounceable) ingredients, but healthy food is expensive (especially with 5 kids!). It can also be difficult to find… so we decided to make our own!
We started with sourdough bread for its health benefits, and when we moved to Olathe, we also began making the Taiwanese-style bread we missed so much. We practised and improved to make the kinds of bread we wanted to eat, and we shared with friends and neighbors. Finally, to help teach our kids entrepreneurship and share some yumminess with the world, we started our business, the Porch Bakery.
